AMERICAN SCALLOP ASSOCIATION PARTICIPATES IN 44th ANNUAL NOAA FISH FRY
May 2019 – As a member of the American Scallop Association (ASA) Eastern Fisheries will return to the nation’s capitol to participate in the 44th annual NOAA Fish Fry event along with other ASA members on Wednesday, June 5 in Washington, D.C.
This year’s event will bring more than 1,500 people to the U.S. Department of Commerce Courtyard. The annual Fish Fry event, organized by NOAA, provides an opportunity for seafood suppliers to bring greater awareness to their local, sustainable fisheries.
“This annual event not only provides the opportunity to meet government officials, congressional members and seafood industry participants from across the nation it also helps to support sustainable fisheries and promote our local, wild caught resources. We are thrilled to be in our nation’s capitol again this year to showcase our wild-caught North Atlantic Sea Scallops” said John Whiteside, General Counsel American Scallop Association.
